Pineapple Square is a $200 million project that will link retailing, residences and parking with the eclectic architectual style. Centered in the core of downtown Sarasota, the project will include 40 new retail shops, 157 new condominium residences and more than 1,000 new parking spaces — 525 of which will be for general public use.

Pineapple square will transform pineapple Avenue into a focal point of Sarasota's Downtown. The project features three new small urban parks and two plazas for public gathering spaces. Existing buildings will be renovated and new buildings will be designed with upper levels that "step back" to increase daylight into the street. An open, central breezeway will protect visitors from weather, yet showcase a bright, comforting environment. The breezeway will be lined with retail shops and also will serve as the main pedestrian access to parking.
